Running a small business is overwhelming, with all the different roles you play and a never ending to-do-list. But you don't have to do on your own!
There are so many ways a virtual assistant can support you and your small business needs, to make your day easier and freeing up your time so you can focus on what you do best!

Performance tracking, structure, and business efficiency.
Admin & Support
Day-to-day operations, content creation, and backend management.

What are the benefits of a Virtual Assistant?
-
Less overhead, more of what matters. No office space to find, no equipment to buy, no benefits to manage. Just support, right when you need it.
-
Pay for what you actually need, whether that's a few hours a month or a regular retainer. No bloated payroll, no surprises.
-
Get your time back. Less time buried in admin, more time doing the work you actually enjoy.
-
Hand over the tasks that drain you. We take on the jobs that have been sitting on your list too long, so you can focus on what you started your business to do.
-
Scale support up or down as your business needs change. No long term hiring commitments required.
Why should I hire a Virtual Assistant?
Good question! See if any of this sounds familiar.
- Admin eating up your day.
- Your to-do list never seems to get shorter.
- Wishing there were just a few more hours in your day or week.
- Wondering how much those small tasks are quietly costing you, in time and profitability.
- Craving more balance between business and home life.
You're not doing anything wrong if any of these sound just like you. It can be overwheleming trying to doing everything!
As a Virtual Assistant for Small Business Owners based in North Devon, UK, I completely understand that running a small business means juggling between every role and wearing all the hats, while still needing time to actually produce your product or deliver your service - the very reason you started your business in the first place!
Ready to take your next step?
You don't have to take it on your own!
How to work with me?
Working with me starts with booking a call. We'll talk through your business, what's taking up your time, and the tasks you'd love to hand off. It's a chance to explore where I can help, whether that's admin, social media, customer service, or something more specific to your business.
We'll also talk about how much time and support you need, and how that fits your budget. Some clients want a few hours here and there. Others prefer a retainer, with dedicated hours secured each month.
Once we are both in agreement, we'll set up simple systems for communication and task tracking, using whatever tools work best for you. You'll always be able to see progress without having to check in constantly.
Whether you need flexible support on demand or a steady monthly plan, we'll shape something that fits how you actually work, so you can stay on top of things without the overwhelm.

Hello, I'm Kirsty Pedlingham, Virtual Assistant
I get it. You're the solo person in your business doing each and every role: the admin, the emails, the marketing, the accounts, while somehow also trying to offer your service or product, the reason you started your business and love to do!
I've spent over 20 years working across advertising agencies, in-house studios and printers as a graphic designer, plus more than a decade running my own creative business. So when I say I understand creative people and small business owners, I mean I've lived it from both sides.
For the last 6 years, I've worked remotely as a virtual assistant for small business owners across the UK, based here in North Devon. My first client came to me looking for consistency and support. It didn't take long to realise my logical, systematic approach could help not only her, but so many small business owners just like her, and that's how Bright Idea Productivity grew from there.
I believe its hard to do every role in your business all of the time, and that you don't have to make progress on your own. That's what I'm here for, not to take over, but to work alongside you, take agreed tasks off your plate, and help you keep moving forward towards your goals.
